I like it. But why iGoogle widget says that it's not available in my location but still works when replying to friend requests? And why wouldn't it be available?
That "3 minutes ago" looks familiar... :) One question: does Google keep records of where you've been when, or only where you are right now? Somehow suddenly the former strikes me as a little creepy.
@atmasphere - there is a known issue if you don't have a default destination set up on FP2 - maybe that's what it is? Can you check Settings > Connection > Destinations > Options > Default connection, Select "Internet" (if you have it) or whichever APN group you want it to use.
That should have been on the help pages, I'll see to it that it gets there.

Well.. G doesn't really have a social graph and this doesn't do conversations at all yet (ContextContacts ca 2004, anyone?) so "anti-social" is fair.
OTOH, this is the first step in the right direction on mobile at G, IMO. We'll build on it, rest assured.

@mikie The potential is rather obvious, which is good :)

Nice one! Could someone now finally update Helsinki as it is, not "Helsinquia"? :)

Helsinquia sounds exotic

why is it helsinquia for some and helsinki for others?
9 months, 3 weeks ago by hannamanna
Bartender, make mine a Helsinquia!

FWIW, the bad names are all over Maps - http://maps.google.com/?q=kalevankatu,%20helsinki says Helsinquia too. Bad translation metadata was pushed at some point.
There is a bug raised but it seems to take a while to propagate the fix.

Also, is integration with FireEagle in the works...? I know this just started, not a demand, just curious.

@spongefile 'Google Latitude only reports your last updated location and does not keep a history of previously reported locations. ' from http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=136652&topic=20061

seems the Jaiku team has been busy ...

@mikie thanks, was reading the Finnish TOS and that seemed a bit unclear on that point, or maybe I just read it wrong.

btw on the symbian client I'm being asked for my connection choice fairly continuously ... not sure how else to file a bug.

@spongefile np - I didn't mean to sound curt either, I'm just very wary of speaking on behalf of G :-)
